WANG Donghui is a Chinese film and television producer, best-known for distinction and quality. He has been active in the entertainment world in different capacities, including producer, scriptwriter and talent manager for over 10 years.
Graduated in MA International Cinema in England, Donghui started to work for Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in the end of 2005. During the 5-year working at CAA, Donghui represented many excellent talents including actors/actresses, directors, scriptwriters and production companies. Amongst them the most famous ones are actors HUANG Bo, ZHANG Jiayi, and directors GUAN Hu and GAO Qunshu.
In 2012, Donghuifounded aproduction house -Beijing-based Combo Drive Pictures. His renowned work as producer is the martial arts film“Brotherhood of Blades”.With five nominations at the 51st Taiwan Golden Horse Film Festival, the film won the Best Costume Design Award.Then cameNew Clue Film’s thriller “The Witness”, starring Yang Mi and Lu Han, which has won more than 200million box-office in 2015.
From 2013 to 2017, he has been developinga TV series with a team of British scriptwriters, based on Robert Van Gulik’s detective novel “Judge Dee Mysteries”.The Chinese TV series, according to the BAFTA Features,is “the first of our series of content exploring China-UK collaborations in the creative industries to find out more about this unique partnership”.
Following “Judge Dee Mysteries”, Donghui is creating his second detective drama “Judge Pu Songling”, financed by one of the biggest Chinese streaming platformiQIYI.
Donghui is a producer who is always fond of challenge. Many of his films have been directed by new talents such as LU Yang (Brotherhood of Blades, 2014), LI Xiaofeng (ASH, 2017), LI Wei and ZHANG Nan (The Secret of Immortal Code, 2018) and he does have great capability of co-operating with and enlightening new directors. He has produced a distinctive movie “Brotherhood of Blades” while martial arts genre was at the bottom of the China’s film market. He was the first producer to work out with British screenwriters. Moreover, Donghui has produced the first Chinese Alien-style sci-fi movie “The Secret of Immortal Code”, is releasing on 22nd June 2018 nationwide. Currently, he is producing a kid and Panda movie, which would be another “first” in Chinese film history.
Donghui has been successful in many genres and multiple mediums because he’s a great storyteller with good taste, takes dares…and almost always has great instinct and insight.

Jingyu is a Chinesescriptwriter (born 1983), originally from Xi’an. She was educated atBeijing Film Academy. From 2007 to 2010, as a screenwriter, Jingyu studied under famous director ZHANG Li, who is acclaimed for historical drama. With accumulating amount of experience of creating historical plays and grand narrative, She became a veteran writer.
Since 2011, Jingyuhas written and co-written lots of films and TV dramas in different genres, such as comedy, historical, modern love story…She always pays more attention on digging out the characters and sophisticated plots.
Jingyu followed up by writingdetective drama “Judge Dee Mysteries” in 2016 as the Chinese scriptwriter, which were created by a team of UK scriptwriter based on Robert van Gulik’s novels. Currently, she is working on her second detective historical plays with Donghui WANG for iQIYI – one of the most important and biggest streaming video platform.

WU JING
Line Producer
Jing WU has been actively participating in the film and television industry in different capacities, including line producer, associate director, researcher, reporter, program officer and coordinator since 2006.
Graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University with an MPhil. degree in film studies, she published her dissertation - Johnnie To’s Cinema World by Cosmos Book Ltd. (ISBN:9789882191822). While doing research in David C. Lam Institute for East- West studies and Film Academy of HKBU, Jing was also a freelance reporter for Hong Kong Film Magazine, writing features and interviewing talents of film industry. In 2008, she has started her professional career as program officer and coordinator in STAR (HK), later Fox International Channels, taking charge of STAR China/ [V] China and some NGO’s programs. Jing worked as the associated director for a documentary of RTHK - Hong Kong Story before she returned her native Beijing.
Jing has been closely involved in film production since 2010, serving as assistant to executive producer of “Crime of Passion” (2013, directed by GAO Qunshu). Then she joined 21 Century Shengkai Film Co., Ltd as assistant to director CHEN Kaige and producer CHEN Hong in 2010, working on the international distribution of “Sacrifice” (2010). Meanwhile, Jing was deeply involved in the production of Chen Kaige’s modern movie – “Caught in the Web” (2012) as production coordinator. In 2013, Jing became production manager and line producer on three Wanda films, the most hit Valentine Day’s film –“Beijing Love Story” (2014), Christmas blockbuster – “Police Story 2013” (2013, 2D/3D), starring Jackie CHAN and “The Palace” (2013). After leaving Wanda Media Co., Ltd, she has been in charge of the post-production of Combo Drive Pictures’ “Brotherhood of Blades”, which was nominated five awards in the 51st Golden Horse Film Festival and won the best costume and makeup design award. In 2015, Jing has worked on “The Secret of Immortal Code”- a sci-fi feature film as line producer, wholly presented by China Film Group. Currently, Jing is preparing for the production of a Panda and Kid movie, invested by China Film Group.
